MAG: Now an NSA CSfC Trusted Integrator

Woodbridge, Virginia – September 26, 2017 – MAG Aerospace is officially a National Security Agency (NSA) trusted Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) solution integrator. Only 45 companies in the world hold this title alongside MAG.

MAG Attends 5th Annual “31 Tattoos” Event

Woodbridge, Virginia – August 6, 2017 – MAG Aerospace Directors Nate Holton and Matthew Schleich attended the 5th annual “31 Tattoos”, an event that honors the loss of 31 SEALS, Special Tactics Airmen, Army Aviators, and K-9 that were lost when their CH-47 Chinook (Extortion 17) was shot down in Afghanistan by enemy forces on August 6th, 2011. The “31 Tattoos” event was founded and hosted by Craig Morrison (owner of Valhalla Tattoos) in conjunction with the Special Operations Warrior Foundation (SOWF), and other sponsors. This event attracts hundreds of current/former special operators and other local community members in a day of remembrance and celebration. One hundred percent of all money raised goes to SOWF, one of the highest ranked charities and an organization MAG has sponsored on past occasions.

Over $30,000 was raised from this year’s event with every penny going to the SOWF, making this the most successful event to date.

MAG was a primary sponsor of the event. In addition to our sponsorship, MAG donated an ISR familiarization ride in one of our aircraft.

MAG Runs Tough Mudder in Support of SOWF

Doswell, Virginia – June 10, 2017 – Collectively, 16 MAG Aerospace employees took on the June 10th Tough Mudder in Doswell, VA to raise funds for the Special Operations Warrior Foundation (SOWF). This year’s Virginia Tough Mudder included 10 hot miles of 15+ team-oriented obstacles.

Ultimately, MAG raised $5,770 for the SOWF.

The Special Operations Warrior Foundation ensures full financial assistance for a post-secondary degree from an accredited two or four-year college, university, technical, or trade school, to the surviving children of Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps special operations personnel who lost their lives in the line of duty. SOWF also offers family and educational counseling, including in-home tutoring. Furthermore, special ops personnel who are severely wounded or hospitalized are also offered immediate financial support.

MAG Canada Participates in Hospital Fundraiser

Dryden, Canada – July 1, 2017 – MAG Aerospace’s Canada location joined forces with the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources in participation in the 13th annual Dragon Boat Festival. The festival takes place on the Wabigoon River and is organized by the Kinsmen Club of Dryden which helps fund the “Still Me” program at the Dryden Hospital. Each dragon boat carries a crew of 10 paddlers, one drummer, and one steerer. MAG staff participated in two boats and with skill, fun, determination, and a bit of luck, both boats made it to the finals.

Through donations, entry fees and contributions, including from MAG, close to $10,000 was raised to assist this local program delivered through the Dryden Regional Health Center Oncology Unit. It consists of workshops offered for people undergoing cancer treatments to help them look and feel their best. The concept of the program is to assist people living with cancer to approach cancer and its treatment with greater confidence.

MAG Wins Jaded Thunder 17-2 Contract

Woodbridge, Virginia – June 8, 2017 – MAG Aerospace has once again been awarded the ISR support contract for Jaded Thunder, a multi-faceted Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC), Close-Air Support, and technology heavy exercise will deploy 800 personnel to Northern New York in support of Special Operations Forces. MAG was selected as the provider for ISR support and has been the prime ISR vendor for this annual exercise since 2012.

Jaded Thunder is joint exercise which includes the integration of efforts from members of the Air Force, Marines, Navy, and Army, as well as representatives from the U.S. Special Operations Commande (USSOCOM).

MAG Wins SATMO IDIQ Contract

Woodbridge, Virginia – June 1, 2017 – The Department of Defense announced MAG Aerospace as one of five winners of the SATMO IDIQ contract, a 5-year base, 5-year option with a $249M ceiling. The contract supports the U.S. Army’s security assistance training programs in seven countries.

MAG Aerospace will provide support services to the Army Security Assistance Training Management Organization (SATMO) under the foreign military sales contract. Contract support will occur in Afghanistan, Croatia, Greece, Indonesia, Iraq, Tunisia, and Turkey through May, 2022.

SATMO oversees the Army Material Command’s Security Assistance Enterprise training programs and helps the service branch prepare, form, deploy, and sustain continental U.S.-based security assistance teams worldwide.
