Woodbridge, VA – April 6, 2016 – Stephen Arbib, CEO of MAG Logistics, together with The Humpty Dumpty Institute, donated and delivered much needed pharmaceuticals to the Kurdish areas of both Iraq and Syria. This donation will assist in alleviating the ongoing shortage of medicine in Iraq.

Closures of supply routes, high conflict areas, medical supply shortages and staff shortages are among the pressing challenges facing Iraq and all culminate in a severe health crisis.

“The conflict in Iraq is creating significant challenges in terms of getting medicine to where it is needed most. While we would like to help every community, we selected The Kobani community, in Kurdistan, which has suffered greatly at the hands of ISIS,” Mr. Arbib said about the pharmaceutical donation.

The pharmaceuticals will treat a range of conditions and illnesses and include several classes of antibiotics such as Amoxicillin and Ciprofloxacin. The value of the medical shipment is estimated to be $250,000 USD.
