MAG was recently recognized by Northrop Grumman for its performance as a subcontractor and supplier on the Afghanistan National Security Force and Counter Narcotics Aviation Fleet Management Support Contract.

This contract provided Training, Operations, and Logistics support to the Ministry of Defense, Afghan Air Force (MoD AAF) and Ministry of Interior (MoI)-Special Mission Wing (SMW) to support the War Fighter in the Global and Regional War On Terrorism.

Below is an excerpt from the Northrop Grumman Supplier Excellence Award nomination:

MAG is nominated for the Supplier Excellence Award for superior mission performance during the period 1 April 2014 to 28 February 2015, significantly assisting Northrop Grumman and the US Government’s Counter Narcotics mission abroad. Northrop Grumman relied on MAG’s subject matter expertise in aviation operations, aircraft maintenance and safety, and their ability to provide qualified staff in support of the dynamic mission environment/demands of Afghanistan. MAG provided highly experienced, certified flight crews and pilots and maintained 100% continuous staffing per contract requirements in a threat level V area. They provided two of five program key personnel, and did so flawlessly. MAG successfully transitioned “Green Platoon”, a highly intense 9 – 10 week aircrew training program developed by Northrop Grumman in 2013, to an all-Afghan led Special Mission Wing Instructor group – a significant achievement and program milestone. In October 2014, Northrop Grumman’s team was appraised by the USG’s Aviation Program Team Survey. For their part, MAG received no findings, observations, or corrective actions requests for their contracted work. In December 2014, MAG met a late USG requirement for flight operations and maintenance activities at a new Forward Operating Base, providing the USG and Afghan forces a much needed base of operations.  MAG’s performance contributed significantly to the ability of the warfighter to fight the Global and Regional War On Terrorism (G/RWOT). By being responsive, flexible, and providing high quality staff, MAG immeasurably contributed to the overall quality, success, and performance of the CNTPO contract while reducing costs to Northrop Grumman and its Customer. MAG proved to be an exceptional partner and subcontractor to Northrop Grumman and the USG.
